Development Hubs Zambia
Transitional Support Team, Global Edmund Rice Network
Zambia
In 2014 the Congregation of Christian Brothers gathered in Nairobi to choose their new direction. As a result of this gathering a new document ‘Our Way in to the Future’ was created which outlined a visionary plan to establish new Development Hubs in the world’s poorest regions. These hubs will adopt the most contemporary community engagement and development models in order to bring about sustainable economic growth in each region. The first Hub is now being established in the rural areas of Western Province, Zambia in 2016.
The Metanoia Matters website is now seeking individuals to assist the Brothers in the establishment of this Hub.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Governance Training and Monitoring

Suggested time commitment – One hour per month
What we need
A team known as the Transitional Support Team (TST) has been appointed as the implementation group for the setting up of new communities in marginalized areas in Zambia and other developing world countries. The TST requires some particular skills to enhance its capacity to implement the overall project effectively.
We require an individual prepared to develop training courses for the local members of the registered Trust for the Project – in good governance, leadership and Board best practice to ensure that the project is managed effectively.
How will this help
The Transitional Support Team has been appointed to establish Development Hubs in the world’s poorest regions. As a team of six they are relatively under-resourced to cope with the huge demands required to break the cycle of poverty. Your assistance is greatly needed to help them achieve their goals.
